Our recent 'Switch it Off' week included 'Eco Day' when everyone worked on different projects across the curriculum. Click on 'Children's Work' above to visit the different Year Groups and see what they got up to.
Twelve Birchensale pupils were involved in a long-term project designing sculptures. Their 'African Grasses and Insects' sculpture was featured in the 2007 Malvern Spring Garden Show and the 'Voices and Visions' exhibition at Worcester Cathedral, and was displayed at Worcester University, before being 'planted' as a permanent feature on show in our school grounds. Interhouse Sports are annual events and everyone tries their best for their house:-
Rowing Day - this has only recently become an annual event at Birchensale: in 2009 our rowers 'travelled' 132,000 miles during the course of the day! Bordesley was the winning house, with Year 8 covering the greatest number of miles and 8AS travelling the farthest.
Everyone had great fun and rowed their hardest for their house. Well done!
Here we have pupils setting off on their interhouse cross-country run......
...... and playing an interhouse netball match.
Sports Day and these boys are really running their socks off!
Year 8 pupils have the opportunity to go on an adventure activity week in Malvern in December.
The week includes a ridge walk and here we see some of this year's group, up in the clouds, wondering which way next?
