History:

History is important because without it you have no present or future, we can never forget the history that has gone before us.at  It enables use to connects things through time and encourages students to take a long view of such connections.

All people and peoples are living histories and at Birchensale Middle School we ensure that all different types of history are studied.

So understanding the linkages between past and present is absolutely basic for a good understanding of the condition of being human. That, in a nutshell, is why History matters. It is not just 'useful', it is essential.

“Yesterday is history. Tomorrow is a mystery. Today is a gift. That's why it's called the present.”
