Following on from the Lateral Flow Device testing that has been done in school, the Government now want all secondary aged pupils to continue testing twice weekly at home.

Taking part in testing is voluntary and all children will be able to attend school whether they take part or not. For parents who have consented to your child taking the test in school, we assume you will be happy to continue with home testing. Your child will bring two sets of kits home on Friday 12th March along with an instruction booklet. We would like them to take their tests on Sundays and Wednesdays.

Your child has already been shown how to take the test and will see a demonstration in school of how to process it. There is also a training video available on YouTube.

Below is a video (starring Mr Wilkes) to explain how to take the test, as well as instructions to download on how to report your results. A copy of the letter sent out on ParentPay with further information on home testing and how to respond for negative and positive results can also be found below.

After every test you need to report the result to NHS Test and Trace by following the instructions in the booklet provided . You also need to confirm with school via ParentPay that you have completed the test.
