We have been made aware by West Mercia Police of a group of young people recently seen swimming/playing in the weir area of Arrow Valley Lake.

Obviously this is extremely dangerous. Luckily, a PCSO was on patrol and got them all out of the water.

Other than swimming pools, where there are life guards, it is extremely dangerous to enter any open water.

We know that the weather makes having fun in our rivers and lakes extremely tempting, but under no circumstances should anyone enter the water.

We have had tragic incidents involving young people and open water in Redditch and other areas of North Worcestershire in recent years. We do not want another tragic event to happen.
