It is with great pleasure that on behalf of the children, staff and governors, I welcome you to Birchensale Middle School. We hope you find our website clear and informative. It is designed to give you a flavour of our commitment to providing a high-quality education that is both challenging and engaging. We strive to deliver quality experiences and wider school opportunities as well as academic excellence. We nurture individuality and are fully committed to supporting the personal and physical development of our pupils.
Our school is a large dynamic Middle School set within Redditch in the Batchley community, close to the town centre. The atmosphere in our school is warm and welcoming. Our staff are hardworking and put the children’s learning and wellbeing at the heart of everything we do. We are committed to becoming the very best school in the area. We have excellent facilities and are constantly reviewing and improving them. We form strong respectful relationships that allow children to feel safe and confident in their learning. We extend this to our families and invite parents/carers to become part of our community too. By working together in partnership, we can ensure the very best outcomes for our children.
Birchensale Middle school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
As part of our safeguarding culture and our on-going commitment to provide the highest level of safeguarding at our school, all staff receive annual safeguard training to ensure they all continue to remain vigilant and are aware of any changes to Keeping Children Safe in Education. Further training and ongoing updates are provided throughout the year for all staff, keeping everyone informed and confident to deal effectively with any safeguarding concern or situation that could arise.
