Being an academy, part of the Bordesley Multi Academy Trust, the school is its own admissions authority. The school works closely with the Worcestershire Local Authority (LA) to coordinate admissions.
Admission to our school is by application, with the main point of entry at Year 5. Parents wishing to apply for their Year 5 child to join the school at the beginning of the school year must complete the common application form provided by their home local authority by the deadline provided. The home LA is the LA in whose area the parents live at the time of the application.
For admission to other year groups or Year 5 children at times other than at the beginning of the school year, an application should be made through Worcestershire County Council.

If you would like to apply for a place for your child at a time other than the start of Year 5, an In Year Transfer (CA1) Form must be completed and returned to Worcestershire School Admissions.
The school admissions code places a statutory responsibility on all Local Authorities (LA) to have a Fair Access Protocol (FAP) which all schools in their area comply with, to ensure that all unplaced children, especially the most vulnerable, are offered a suitable school place without unnecessary delay. Birchensale Middle School subscribes to this Fair Access Protocol (FAP).
