Welcome to Birchensale Middle School

Welcome to Birchensale Middle School

On behalf of the children, staff and Governors, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you as you visit the  Birchensale Middle School Website.  These pages are intended to be a source of information and hopefully give you a flavour of our school.

Here at Birchensale we strongly believe in the value of every child and adult who enters our doors. We strive to ensure everyone who becomes part of our school community feels valued, happy, and respected and we endeavour    at all times to recognise their role in continuing to move the school forwards.

We recognise that every pupil who attends Birchensale deserves the best and we aim to help them succeed by reaching their potential in every area of school life – academic, social, personal, physical, and spiritual.  We do this by ensuring that each child has access to an exciting curriculum that stretches the most able and supports those that need it, where pupils understand their educational journey; where it is beginning, where it will take them and how they will get there!

Within our school we have a team of teachers and support staff who support each child in laying a foundation for a love of learning that will carry them through the rest of their lives. Pupils arrive at Birchensale at nine years of age and leave four years later with a clear sense of purpose and an enthusiasm for their future learning.

All pupils are able to access not only academic, but creative and physical areas of the National Curriculum, so that they receive the highest standard of education. This is achieved by the staff working hard and delivering a broad and balanced curriculum.

The relationship between well qualified and dedicated staff, motivated and well behaved pupils and a supportive home ensures that pupils make good progress, achieve, and enjoy learning both in and out of the classroom. We hope our website will give you a taste of the value that we place in each child and our desire to ensure high standards in all areas, within a caring and happy community.

We also hope you will want to find out why Ofsted chose to categorise us as a ‘good’ school and then want to join with us in developing Birchensale into an ‘outstanding’ school.  The best way to do this is by visiting the school, this you are warmly invited to do.

We look forward to meeting you and working in partnership with you in the future.

Yours sincerely

Mr Tim Jones
