Year 8 is the final year for pupils at Birchensale. This is the year where we support our pupils as they transition from middle to school high school. To help prepare our pupils, we continue to offer them a broad and balanced, as well as engaging curriculum, with an emphasis on offering a more diverse range of topics. In preparing our pupils for the transition to high school, there are many opportunities to take on responsibilities and leadership roles, such as Prefects, House Captains and Peer Mentors. All of the values that have been instilled in our pupils shine through in Year 8, as they support the younger pupils in the school. In Year 8, pupils get opportunities to take on greater challenges such as the outward bound educational stays at Malvern Outdoor Centre, as well achieving end of year awards that celebrate the time they have spent at Birchensale Middle School.
